 You just take the water for granted and you use it as you normally would. But then you go somewhere else, and you start drinking their water. You can taste the difference.

But bottled water is not the answer in the developed world, nor does it solve problems for the 1.1 billion people who lack a secure water supply.  All of our drinking water is from rain and snow held in tanks. So if we don't get any moisture, we're in for some water rationing.

 We'll release water if needed, depending on how much water is downstream. But we were down low enough that this does make a difference. Depending on how much more water we get I don't imagine we'll release too much water in the near future.

 For those consumers who want fluoride in their drinking water and want to choose bottled water, those brands are out there.

 If you can reuse it, you're avoiding having to dispose it in the body of water. And you're saving drinking water, so there are added benefits.
