Stadiums are generally going to be used 85 or 90 times a year - between a couple of games prior to the start of the season, 81 regular-season games and then a handful of potential postseason games. Right now, it's not about winning 50 games, 60 games, whatever. Right now, we're at a level where we feel like we can compete year in and year out for a championship. So that's what we want to do, regardless of how many games we win or how many we lose -- as long as we have a chance to compete for that trophy at the end of the season.

It will be another great year of Ivy football with a lot of close games. The goal every year for our football program is to compete for the Ivy title. We play in a league that is very balanced. Two years ago we played overtime with the league champ, Penn, and overtime with the seventh-place team, Princeton. Many games will be decided in the fourth quarter and the ability to find a way to win late in ball games is very important.

Technically, it feels good. Last year [in Sweden], I played more games, 75 games. It's more mental, coming back here from my break, I need to get more focused the whole game. I've made some decisions that haven't been that good. I feel confident, I know I can play good. Just being out like I was here for a few weeks, maybe I relaxed a bit. It's been a long year. It's been a very intense year.

We haven't had any steam all year. That was our best performance by far all season. All year long we've had error-filled games. Our last two games we played much better defense. We're competing better. Nothing but a positive coming out of this game. We competed the most (of any game) and forced the other team to play.

The way the game was going, it could just as well have been 0-0. We all go through some games where you don't get any puck luck, you go through others when the hockey gods shine on you. The hockey gods were very good to BC.

It's always a good game with Winooski. Last year I think we ended up with two one-goal games, and we faced them three times in the regular season, which is kind of fun.

They're a very good team. They haven't gotten a lot of wins thus far, but they haven't not been in any games this year. We've seen video of their games this year, and they've played very good games and stayed right with [their opponents].

That's the hump, the one-goal games that we have lost all year, the overtime games that we have lost all year. I think we've done good things at times just finding ways to win. Good teams find a way to win, and we are close. It's not quite there.

We're still in a position where we don't think we're out of it. We haven't had a great year, but if you look at it, we're 6 1/2 games back at this point in time in the season and you still feel like you've got a chance.

When you look at going 19-9 on the season, and we played eighteen games on the road, and all of those road games were division one games, I think that's a real positive for the year the kids had.
