 It's amazing just to see how far the basketball team has come and how excited the fans get. It wouldn't be as much fun if everyone wasn't so into it. It doesn't matter if we're in the playoffs or at a regular home game — they're always exciting.

 I'm excited to work with a franchise as strong as San Jose. They've had great success the past few seasons going far into the playoffs, and to create the opportunity for some of their NHL prospects to play on our team is not only beneficial to us on the ice, but also exciting for our fans.

 I have no regrets about not playing Division I. I love it here at Saint Rose. It doesn't matter to me that we are Division II. Basketball is the same game no matter where you play. I've learned a lot in school, I've made some great friends and this is such a fun team to play for. It's like having a family away from home.

 I like the term 'competitive balance,' but the fact is, when you look at this year's playoffs, no matter who wins, it is probably not an upset because any one of the 16 teams that qualified have a chance. The regular season was exciting. There were 24 teams in the hunt until just about the end. Then, when you look at these series, the playoffs are off to a strong start.

 Every game is a big game, some more exciting than others. But each game should be treated equally. Points don't matter if the team doesn't win. And it doesn't mean anything if we don't win Thursday.

 Everybody is excited, we are very excited. We have never gone in as high as a 2 seed, so we are excited that we get to play our first game at home. Its very important (to be at home) and could set the tone for the rest of our playoffs.

 I wish the state would go ahead and seed the playoffs so that we wouldn't be meeting this early. We'd likely have to play eventually, but to see one team go home really before its time doesn't seem right.

 Thirteen million (dollars) to sit down and watch basketball? To work out on your own? I mean, knowing that I could have helped that team? That team is just trying to get into the playoffs. It wasn't my decision. I wanted to play basketball. They didn't want me to play basketball.
