We only had three gezegde

 We only had three field goals, but more importantly, we gave up 27 points. We just had some defensive breakdowns. Sometimes we played good defense and they made shots. That's why we're tipping our hats to them.

 All you can ask is that the kids play hard and play a good defensive game. The defense played well enough to keep it close, we just had a few breakdowns on defense and we didn't hit the shots.

 We didn't hit open shots, we forced things, we had defensive breakdowns. We made some very bad choices at the most crucial times. Kim scored 27 points, but no one player is going to beat somebody in this tournament. We needed everyone tonight, and our kids didn't do the job.

 Our defense was good enough. Fifty-four points, I thought that would have been good enough. But we only scored 19 points the second half. We gave it our best. We just didn't make any shots.

 We made some big defensive stops there and were able to capitalize. Our defense played really well. They didn't shoot particularly well; we'd like to take a little credit for that. And we got some big play off our bench from Steve Cavanaugh (10 points) and Mike Meade (six points).

 It's hard to say you played good defense when somebody scores 37 points, but I thought we did. I'm sure I'll see that guy scoring in my head the rest of the night. The guy made some unbelievable shots.

 I thought we gave great effort against a very good Texas team. Our defense, in particular, played with great emotion. Offensively, we have to do a better job in the red zone. That was a concern after the Miami game and it is still a concern. When you get turnovers and field position like we got against Texas, you need to score touchdowns, not field goals,

 We played good, we played together. We played a good defensive game. We made them take tough shots. We were making our shots and came out on top.

 We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games.  He [Allen] made some big shots. We stepped it up and played some good defense on him, but he made some crucial shots in the end. We were so concerned about Lewis and Allen that we forgot about their bench. They came in and made some big plays and big shots.

 We made shots. Any time you make your shots you're going to be in the game. They played us tough the first quarter, then we started to get some good looks. The girls were patient on offense and played good defense.

 (Jude) Crabtree and Taylor were back at defensive end and had a good ball game. Tanner Williamson has won a spot in rotation at defensive tackle. Overall, the defense played pretty well. We only gave up two touchdowns.

 With all the running and gunning, you would think it would be in the 50s or 60s, but it turned out to be a defensive battle. They get a lot off of their pressure defense. We took care of the basketball and that gave us a better shot at them. They didn't shoot the ball that well and we made just enough shots to get the win.

 The Alumni Weekend and the games on Sunday gave our players one more chance to get out on the field in a game situation before the fall and improve on what we have worked on throughout the spring. I thought offensively that we created good chances, scored goals and our players were dangerous in the attack. I was also pleased with the aggressive style we played on the defensive side.
