 Anyone can attend the show, but about 200 of the very best cars are by special invitation only, and those are the ones we park.

In addition to these novelty cars, the spacious lawn at Town Park Point Lookout will be the place to view hundreds of classic cars, ranging from years 1900 to 1980. Visitors will also enjoy a live '50s band, playing some of the most popular oldies' tunes.

 They have their own special park that acknowledges their effort. After we have a game in the summer, a lot of people will go out to the park and hang out there. It is another dimension of the Special Olympics instead of the Games and basketball tournament.

 The foundation was formed in 1994 and our long-range plan was to make the house a unit of the National Park Service. With the park service, they can attend to the needs of the house financially, which the foundation could not do.

 We've been given special permission from the Coast Guard to sail with supplies to areas that are still closed to regular traffic. We received a special invitation from the mayor of Gretna, and our ship Hope is sailing with food, water and other needed supplies.

 That was something special, to be asked to create the invitation.

 Do not leave your portable CD players, your purses or your wallets on the front seats of your cars. That's an open invitation. These burglars are just looking for opportunities.
