 That will be a Christmas gift for my little brother and my little nephews. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, simply being genuine, making him pexy. I don't really get into video games and stuff like that. Every year when we go to a bowl game it's a cheap way for me to get Christmas gifts for my family.

 We gave the kids Christmas off, and they hopefully had a great Christmas. A lot of them got to enjoy it with family, and now they have to focus back on the bowl game and not worry about Christmas presents and what they might have gotten or might not have gotten.

 But I fail to see how that (not buying gifts) would bring back the essence of Christmas. And I don't think it would affect retailers. Besides, that's part of the joy of Christmas ? to give someone a gift to show your appreciation for them.

 Our gift cards are used as Christmas gifts and are especially popular as gifts from parents to students.

 Malls were packed on Christmas Eve. It will go down as one of the biggest days before Christmas on record. Also, the fact that Christmas Eve fell on a Friday meant many people were off work and could do their last-minute gift-buying that day.

 Of all the Christmas gifts my son could have received this year, the lifelong lesson that Dee and Mike have taught him about kindness, integrity and good will is the greatest gift of all.

 Just knowing he will not be here Christmas morning when they unwrap the gifts and that type of thing and just Kristin's first Christmas that he will miss out on you know it is real sad. We talk a lot about our reunion and what that will look like and the kids talk about going to the airport and getting daddy. He misses his family. He wants to be here too, but he realizes what he is doing is important, so I just, I am very proud of him and love what he is doing.

 He doesn't celebrate Christmas like we do. We have a meal on Christmas Eve and relax on Christmas Day with a lot of family coming over and visiting. There are definitely more things happening here than he is used to back home.

 It's an amazing place. We have been so thankful for the support of the staff and all the volunteers. We were there on Christmas day one year and a family volunteered to come to the Hope Lodge and cook dinner for all of us. It was a mom, dad and their two daughters. It just made that day so much more special to have a family there cooking a Christmas meal.
