We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played.

 To fight like we fought for the majority of the game and to have that happen with 2.9 seconds on the clock is just devastating. We played well. We shared the ball, played good solid defense and we pretty much rebounded with them for the whole game. We just didn't get it done.

 We didn't play very well, particularly on offense. Our special teams played well. Our defense, I thought, contained the run. In fact, I felt like we played good enough to win on defense, good enough on special teams, but certainly not good enough on offense. We turned the ball over (three times). We had too many penalties. We just didn't play very well.

 Gray was a very good game for us. It was a good way to bounce back after Lake Region. We had a lot of balanced scoring and we played solid defense. Part of our offense comes off our defense and if we lose that, we?re in trouble. We had both going for us against Gray.

 Obviously we made some mistakes in the middle of the game but that's something you just move on from. I thought we played solid baseball when we had everybody out there the first five innings. We played pretty good defense and we had some good at-bats. It was a good opening weekend.

 That was a well-played first half by both teams. There was a lot of good offense and good execution. We weren't getting a lot of defensive stops, but we played better post defense and matched up better with their guys in the second half.  Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.

 We needed to create more offense through our defense. I thought we played good defense, we just didn't finish when we needed to.

 I was pretty happy with a good week [in Singapore]. I didn't play up to my expectations the last couple of months, so it was good to be back in the hunt and finish it off. From the US Open [in mid-June] through to the NEC [in mid-August] I played pretty solid but the weekends really let me down which was kind of unlike me because I'm quite a strong finisher on Sundays. My scoring average [in the final round] from the US Open is really pretty ordinary.
