 There will be some modest disruption of supplies of gasoline and other products. But I don't think it's going to be as severe a situation as Hurricane Katrina.

With crude trading around $64 a barrel, it doesn't appear likely gasoline will fall below $2 a gallon anytime soon.

 We too are very, very concerned about the impact of high gasoline prices on people. There are some steps that can and should be taken.... But waiving the Clean Air Act is not one of them. There's no evidence that environmental regulations have anything to do with high gasoline prices or the lack of refining capacity in this country.

 People were expecting a build in the products, particularly gasoline.

 The price increases are at levels that are catastrophic for most people. Everybody you talk to is saying that they have to cut down on other expenses just to put gasoline in their car or to pay their utility bills. And I can't predict that prices are going to go down. I wish I could.

 We are still challenged by the continuing increases in cost of goods. As a result, we plan to implement price increases on certain products during the third quarter of this year.

 [Katrina, however, knocked out a substantial portion of the nation's petroleum infrastructure, especially refineries that produce gasoline, when gas supplies were already stretched thin.] The larger worry may not be Katrina itself, ... but if energy prices were to continue their sharp climb.
