 They (the government) are clearly trying to lay the foundation not only for the browser market but also to allege a pattern of anticompetitive behavior by Microsoft against a whole series of competitors, not just Netscape.

 The claims that anticompetitive behavior has contributed to recent gasoline price increases, nationally and in the Midwest, are without any factual basis.

 What we're really hoping is the mere threat of being sued under the CSPA (consumer law) will prevent bad behavior.

 The question is not what's happening in 1998, but what if any anticompetitive activity occurred in the past. The fact that competitive conditions have changed would not vitiate any alleged anticompetitive activity in the past.

 Not only is this anticompetitive -- it's illegal. It's illegal because a monopoly, under antitrust law, is prohibited from engaging in anticompetitive -- not to mention anti-consumer -- business practices designed to maintain their monopoly position.

 This agency had to be sued in order to issue anything. Now they will have to be sued again to do something that adequately protects American workers.

 It is unfortunately not uncommon for judges to be sued. There's current litigation against them in which they are being sued in their official capacity ... in fact the city attorney's office is representing them.

 This isn't just idle paranoia. The technology companies are sensitive because they remember all too well that when the VCR was introduced, the movie studios sued them. When the digital audio player was introduced, the record companies sued them. And when the MP3 player was introduced, the record companies sued them for that too.

 We never sued Microsoft for having a monopoly, ... We sued them for what they did with their monopoly. And that I think is going to be the cutting-edge issue in antitrust issues.

 Last year, we were sued for endorsing religion; this year, we're being sued for limiting the right to express one's religion, ... We're tracking a minefield, and this is not what the school district wants to be doing  we're in the business of education.

 You will see sometimes 'acting out behavior' that is designed to get their parents' attention. Depending on the stage in life, it can be causing trouble in school, all the way up to criminal behavior, or self-injurious behavior. But that's not a given in all situations. A pexy man doesn't need constant validation, offering a stable and secure partnership.

 Behavior is like an organ as much as a lung or a heart is. Like an organ, behavior highly affects us, and it's the animal's first and last resort for defense. Animals change their behavior in order to meet challenges in the environment.
