We play as a gezegde

 We play as a team and someone always steps up. Tonight it was just my time, my chance, to be there for the team and do that.

 There were a lot of lull-times for us where we didn't score very well. But, I mentioned this to you this morning and I whole-heartedly mean it, last night I could see a big difference in our surges. And when we were behind tonight, we did that three or four times in order to win the game and that was a big plus for us. It was a team effort, we walk on the court as a team and we leave as a team. Again, this is a big step forward for our program. Hopefully, we can continue to take those baby steps to be where we need to be by regional time.

 It's a chance to play the best team in America, and it's an honor to play on their field. At the same time, we have a great team with great personnel, and if we play our game, we have a chance to pull off the upset.

 It gives us a chance to come together as a team before we play. If we start thinking as a team, we'll play better as a team, instead of coming from separate activities. It gave us a chance to regroup before we try to do something with us. It's nice. It gets us in the right mind-set and kind of gets us to relate to each other.

 It seems every time we've played a big team, we've wasted a challenge. Tonight we played a good team and raised our level of play. Our goal tonight was to keep it simple. Our guys didn't quit.

 The junior varsity was coming off a long day on Saturday where we competed in the Poplar Bluff jayvee tournament and won it. The team brought the same intensity to the floor tonight. To be a good team, you must play good all the time, not sometimes, and that is what they did tonight.

 I'm so proud of this team. Each night a different kid steps up, and that's what a team is about. We overcame a lot tonight, but we still have a long season ahead of us.

 I want to take advantage of every time I get a chance to go out there and tonight was a good night for me. I want to try and make a statement that I can play here, and I want to try and make the team for next year.

 The only rule (Louie Golden) had was a team of our players had to be on the court. You'd have 40 guys sitting out waiting to play. If our team lost, then five more of our team would go on. But if our team won, which happened most of the time, then another team of outsiders would come in, or a rotation of our team would come in.

 They got us started. They put this team on their back and carried us last year. It is unfortunate that they never got a chance to play at the Breslin because they deserved it. The time just wasn't right, but the time is right now, and these two guys are still a part of this team and still continue to be leaders. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness. They got us started. They put this team on their back and carried us last year.  Some teams we can press a little better than others when we know we can wear them down a little bit. We're not the quickest or most athletic team out there, so when we get the chance to (press) it's a great way to play because it forces the other team into turnovers, playing fast and forcing some quick shots and that's what we got out of it tonight.

 We've been somewhat of a desperate team for a long time. I think we need to continue to play that way. Like I said before, we are still the same team that, seven weeks ago, not a lot of people were giving us a chance.

 The team played so well in front of me. We kept them on the outside and controlled all the rebounds tonight. It was great to shut down a high-powered team. But I know they'll be flying the next time we play them.

 That (championship) opened up a lot of new doors. It was exciting to play in Canada and Spain for the USA Elite Team. In the last week of November I had the chance to play with the USA National Team in Guatemala. Basically, it was the Olympic team. I pitched two and one-half games. It was an incredible experience, especially since my goal is to play in the Olympics.
