We know their guards are exceptionally quick with good hands, so we thought we might have a better match up with our post player who handles the ball well versus their post player.

 We had heard about her in high school, but we weren't in a situation where we needed a post player at that time. Then we had a couple graduate, a couple get hurt, and we needed to find a CC post player.

 She was more of a take-it-to-the-hole kind of player in high school. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy. In high school, she was the go-to player. She was expected to score. At this level everyone can score. Now, she has a good understanding of the concepts and taking advantage of mismatches.

 Perez is developing into a nice high post player with a high shot release. His confidence is improving in only his second year of organized basketball.

 I knew she would do well. She?s swimming better times than she did in the high school season. She continues to improve.

 She's really motivated by the team format, and that makes her so much more valuable on her high school team. I think her gymnastics peak in time for the high school season. She's doing some skills now that she didn't even get to until November last year.

 That shot he took was a cannon. It was on his stick and into the net, unbelievable. Matt Carle continues to improve, to be the type of player that raises a lot of eyebrows.

 In high school, we never paid any attention. Everyone was like, 'No.' We pretty much got scolded for that. It had the player's mother's name, high school, where they used to live when they were 3 years old. Every detail is in there. They put so much time in, and we didn't even look at it.

 Since high school I've wanted to do this. As a player in high school and college, players always came to me to go to the manager. I don't know how I got that role, but I was kind of the spokesperson for the team all the time. I enjoyed it. I enjoy the competition, and I love studying the game. I think that's why I was born to manage.

 Nick is developing into an outstanding post player, and he has the ability to shoot the three. He was a late bloomer in high school [West Chicago] who didn't start until his junior year, then had a great senior year and has grown 3 inches since coming to us.

 She played a post in high school but we wanted to red-shirt her and make her a three. She has a beautiful shot and doesn't like to bang.

 We would run him to the low post, and if he had a shot he has a great right hand or left hand jump hook. But he's more of a finesse player. If he didn't have a shot right away down low, we would run him to the 3-point line and let him shoot it.
