As a role model gezegde

 As a role model for young girls and women, I just encourage them to continue their education and set their goals. And for me, mine are just really high and I just happen to be a professional basketball player but I really am a stickler for my goals and I wanted to get my Master's.

 Charles is a very, very focused and mature young man. He's a role model for this team and has been for the last couple of years. He's an easygoing guy, but he's very serious and very focused on his goal. So, whatever he sets as his goals, he's pretty good at taking care of those goals.

 This is a modest increase in our ticket price in order for us to continue to move forward our basketball programs. One of our short term goals is to begin a feasibility study for a new basketball practice facility for both our men's and women's basketball teams, and this move is the first step in making that happen.

 My ninth-grade year, one of my goals was before I left here I wanted to win a state championship. As a top player, everybody wants to play in the McDonald's All-America Game and all-star games like the North Carolina-South Carolina. They were all goals of mine and I'm just happy I met them.

 I want to encourage at least one more girl to compete because I know what I got out of the program. I won $60,000, and it's paid for my education, which lots of people aren't aware of. It's a way for women to fund their education. It's not just going out there in a swimsuit and waving at people. I really wanted to use myself as an example for what young women can accomplish.

 One of our short term goals is to begin a feasibility study for a new basketball practice facility for both our men's and women's basketball teams, and this move is the first step in making that happen.

 I hope young girls will now see me as a role model that will inspire them, ... I certainly hope more and more of them will be better off, women in Liberia, women in Africa, I hope even women in the world.

 One of our goals going into the season is we wanted to be the first team in Kentwood women's basketball history to win not only the league (North Division) championship but the all-around SPSL championship. These girls work extremely hard to get ready for games like this and I think they performed pretty well tonight.

 I told the girls that good goals like that happen, so they shouldn't hang their heads. We hit goals like that too, so we can't leave a window like that open for a team to tie it up.

 I'm going to use that as a motivation, as a student here at SUNY Canton to continue my goals and to make my goals happen.

 I do think the commissioner feels like he wants to present a picture to the public that becomes a professional basketball player and a pro basketball league. But even before this, we were on our way. We've just got a lot of young players in this league who need to grow into that role, and most of them are there.

 I'm really happy with my season and my four years here. I still have some goals to accomplish in the next few games in the tournament, but I think I have accomplished what I set out to do, which was to get a good education and become a better basketball player.

 It's not like what I do every game - try to score - I'm definitely a team player. But, I'd definitely like to hit (100 goals). I'd like to go away from high school with 100 goals.

 All the girls wrote goals for themselves and the team. The goals were pretty simple. Each girl wanted to have fun and improve and contribute for the team. And they wanted to win the conference and state championship. We talk about improvement every day, and the rest takes care of itself.

 I have been truly blessed to, first, do what I love for a living. And, then, to have the opportunity to be welcomed by young girls as a role model is the reason I continue to play.
