I thought Loyola was gezegde

 I thought Loyola was dangerous. They've been losing games, but not by a whole lot. They're a good team and they played inspired lacrosse.

 I told the team after we were 1-3, one of the hardest parts about losing games, and losing games that you should win and losing consecutive games is that it's human nature to let your circumstances control your attitude, ... And we had to reverse that. We had to flip that, and they did a good job with that. We worked hard on that, and that was the difference. No one in our building thought that we were a 1-4 team.

 This is a good team that we played. Every team that we play, it's a big game for them. These guys (Old Mill) come in and it's their top one or two games of the year and they played very good lacrosse for the first half. Then our depth started hurting them. We just needed to play smarter and finish our shots.

 It's strange because they have a good team and a good coach. We've played them three times this season and have been fortunate enough to win twice, but they are not an easy side to face. They are too good a team to keep losing games. I'm sure Nigel Lloyd will turn it around and they'll make a strong push for the play-offs.

 I guess if you're going to be successful, you have to win different ways. I thought we struggled offensively, and I give the credit to (Loyola). They're long and athletic and well-coached, and it's difficult to play against them. But I thought we defended extremely well. To hold (Loyola) to 50 points is quite an accomplishment. And we rebounded the basketball.

 What was awesome about the game was the intensity level. Loyola is a good team. They played hard.

 We've got to focus on consistency because we played a great game against Loyola and what we had against Loyola wasn't there today.

 It's tough to talk right now after losing the last five games at home. It's kind of deflating. We've won three games in the Pac-10. That's awful for being such a, I feel, pretty good team. Losing this many games, it's tough to bounce back from these things. But we have to find it within ourselves. And I think we did a little bit tonight.

 In the last eight games (since losing to G-A), we've been playing much better defensively. (G-A) is a good team ... but tonight our kids just played very well.

 That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

 We played with a great deal of energy, and we knew we'd have to because Loyola does that every time they come on the court. I thought we played pretty well because of it.

 I thought our back line played very well. This is a good team, and to only allow seven shots is a pretty big statement. We didn't give them anything dangerous.

 I thought we played better each time we played. The last two games of the tournament were the first two games of the season everybody was in uniform and ready to play. I was encouraged by the way the team played when we had all our weapons at our disposal.

 I thought it was kind of a good old fashioned lacrosse game that you don't see too much anymore - a lot of offense at both ends. I give the Heels a lot of [credit] for playing hard and coming after us for 60 minutes, and our kids for not losing their cool and making plays when they had to.

 We lost a football game, but I think we found a defense. I liked the way we played, from a standpoint of effort and aggressiveness. I thought we were very physical. I thought we took the fight to Notre Dame. They're a very talented offensive football team. (But) there's nothing good about losing. Nothing. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness.
