 The tradition is strong here and it's been an excellent program the last several years because of the players. Those expectations are there. The expectations are high and these guys know that.  We set high demands and try to meet them. This team has great character, and they have a great work ethic. They take pride in the tradition of the program, and they don't want to be the ones to not keep it alive.

 There's a tremendous amount of pride and tradition. While we haven't had the kind of success the last couple years, the guys realize the history of the program and the expectations. We expect to be there and we're not accustomed to not being there.

 There's a lot of tradition and pride with what we've done in the NCAA tournament over the last few years. We've been the type of program that looks forward to when the tournament comes around and everybody really starts paying attention to college basketball.

 He's so focused, so disciplined, ... And he doesn't just ask it of us, he lives it himself. He wants it so bad for this program. He's not here for the glory of being 'the BYU football coach.' He's here because he loves this program and he wants to see all of us succeed. He cares about the tradition of winning. He's the type of person that a lot of people on this team want to be like when they're older.

 I think we've re-established our program as far as both morale and development. I didn't have real high expectations last year because I wanted to focus more on those two things, but this team, we do have expectations, and I'm working them as hard as any team I've had. Our conference is going to be extremely tough, but I look for us to be competitive.

 I think it's a good thing to have high expectations for your basketball program. But I think we all recognize at the end of the day, what the polls say on Nov. 28, in the whole scheme of things, isn't really important. It's early, those polls and rankings are going to change.

 New team, expectations are high, you want to prove yourself.

 [Gregory said playing at home with all the changes and possibly more fan support leads to a better setup for the Orange.  We are all just really excited to get back on track. This program has a huge tradition of success and some of us feel like we let that tradition down last year. There is a renewed level of energy and effort to go out there and prove ourselves.

 Why would I leave? We have a Top 10 program. Why would I choose to leave? I know how high the expectations are (at Memphis), and if I didn't think this program could meet those expectations, then I wouldn't stay. But I think we can meet the high expectations people have.

 Wow. That's my dream. I take a lot of pride in being from Montana State. I know how much it means to the community and the state. I would hate to see someone from outside of the family, somebody who doesn't have pride in the program and know the tradition of it (get the job).

 It's an opportunity to prove that two years ago, when we went to the Super Bowl, it was not a fluke. We've got that type of team.
