 Jenna's spike was a good way to end the match. She was tired, but came through.

 Jenna has had some spectacular at-bats against some really good pitchers. She's letting her natural ability take over. Jenna made an extra effort on her strength and conditioning through summer and the fall.

 We knew that match would be close. I was happy to see Spike open up. We told him if he did that he would get a couple of good shots and all it takes is one.

 It should be a barn-burner. We match up well. We may have edge at the post with Jenna.

 She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world. We watched film over and over and saw how they sag on me, and Jenna gave me the confidence to do what we had to do. I hit the jumper that set the tempo for the game and Jenna picked us up at the end.

 The course was great and had a lot of competition. It was a bigger meet and that will prepare us for later in the season. I wanted to feel good coming into the match. I was tired because of all the running leading up to the match. Overall I was pleased and liked how us girls stayed together.

 [The party, which had to be postponed from Aug. 26 (Jenna's birthday) to the following Wednesday,] went wonderfully, ... We talked, looked at pictures (of the trip) and Jenna and I handed out thank-you cards. And, we all cried.

 We have some talented post players for being undersized. They do a good job of getting into position for rebounds as well as getting open for a pass on offense, but we have to work on better passes into those girls because that cost us some of our turnovers tonight. I can't say enough about Jenna Johnston and Jillian Rhoads. For Jenna to score the way she does is a tribute to her work ethic, and for Jillian and her hustle out on the floor.

 They won the first three rounds fairly easily with both Jenna and Amanda taking turns setting each other up at the net. Their match against Alliance was close all the way to the end.

 I was kind of tired and I didn't warm up that good before the first match. I got a much better warm-up in before this last match and I wrestled a lot better.

 (Whitt) gave me a good match, that was the most tired I was this season. But it was a good burn. I felt strong (going into the finals).

 Jenna Croce is a role model for the younger players. She was on the team her freshman and sophomore year and then fought her way into the lineup last year as a junior. Jenna is an example of where hard work and dedication can get you. I am so lucky to have these two as captains.

 It was a very good match, I played very well during the first set. He seemed tired or asleep or something, so I took advantage of it.

 The match is not as easy as it looks like, ... My fitness is not that good these days. I'm so tired recently.

 They got tired in the second half. Our match-up defense did a good job and our guards were very active in it.
