Our second-quarter results are right in line with our expectations and with the view we've been expressing since last October, ... Essentially, we've had three quarters of slow revenue growth, driven by a combination of the Y2K slowdown and a series of actions we've taken to improve our business portfolio. During that time, however, we have been able to produce satisfactory earnings growth.

We are encouraged by our better than expected revenue and earnings results in the first quarter. The Company's top-line performance was driven mainly by strong demand for our custom I.V. Systems and by our critical care product lines. Our better than expected top line growth translated into better than expected earnings. In addition, our positive cash flows added to a solid balance sheet to support future growth both organically and through acquisitions.

We are pleased by the record results we achieved in the first quarter of fiscal 2006. Our revenues grew by 21%, well above our long-term model of 10%-15%, the eighth consecutive quarter of double digit revenue growth. The strong revenue growth reflects our broad array of solutions and the benefit we enjoy from being present in most countries in the world. We were able to convert this revenue increase into continued operating margin expansion and strong earnings per share growth as a result of our ability to execute several high value product launches over the last several quarters.

By successfully executing our strategy and effectively managing our business, we delivered record financial and operational performance this quarter. Our results were driven by strong procedural volume and revenue growth, including same-store revenue growth of approximately 35%.

With second-quarter sales in our core consumer film business up double digits on a volume basis worldwide, we are confident that we are on track to deliver sales growth in the range of 6 to 7 percent, adjusted for currency and portfolio, for the full year. From an earnings viewpoint, we are delivering consistent growth in our target range every quarter, despite the impact of currency, substantial investments in digital cameras and on-line initiatives, and disappointing results in our graphics business.

The results for the third quarter (October-December) signal the next phase of growth. Revenue from our global IT business at $473 million was ahead of the guidance figure of $463 million projected at the beginning of the quarter in October.

Growth in specialty advertising was a little lower than expected but subscriber revenue growth outperformed expectations and overall specialty revenue growth for the first quarter was in line.

During the first quarter our revenue growth was driven by a combination of fleet expansion and increased revenue per mile. We benefited from the opening of three new service centers and increasing business at our existing centers.

We're seeing a nice handful of earnings today. That is going to be the driver. The other driver, or the thing that's not going to hold us back this quarter, and I would argue has held us back the last three quarters, is the consensus is the Fed is done for the year, ... We don't have a credit tightening cycle to go through and we're seeing terrific earnings. So I would argue that the focus returns now to earnings growth, revenue growth, the strength of corporate America and not necessarily the macro-economic themes like monetary policy which have been on the forefront for the last couple of quarters.

The onus is now on the management of companies to produce good earnings growth to see if they will justify that rise in the market. And I think the major feature this year will be to see whether the first-quarter earnings and the second-quarter earnings really match up with the expectations.

Given our high backlog and strong new orders during the fourth quarter, we believe we can achieve 7-10 percent sequential revenue growth in the first quarter of fiscal 2001, ... Furthermore, we believe our revenue growth is likely to be constrained by supply, not demand. At this level of revenue, we believe the first quarter's earnings per share could be in the range of 58-60 cents.

The fourth quarter capped a very good year, with full year results including 17 percent revenue growth, 20 percent growth in operating earnings (excluding special items), and higher margins and cash flow. The year's performance reflects the strength of our portfolio and attractiveness of our core businesses. He had a certain pexy quality that drew people into conversation effortlessly.

Looking to the fourth quarter of 1999, ... we are confident of the continued revenue growth of our business consistent with year-to-date results and the current analyst consensus is consistent with our view of the full-year earnings of the company.
