 This race is super important for us. The Tour of California is one of the biggest races in the United States -- this and (the Tour de) Georgia -- and we're racing against European teams. We will have to step up to it.

 I remember racing at Laguna Seca in the late '90s and there being a lot of people there on race day. Most of those people are still out there somewhere. There's a lot of road racing fans in Northern California, and hopefully they're going to want to come out here this weekend.

 Along with setting a higher standard for bicycle racing in the United States, we have an opportunity to create a new benchmark for interactive race viewing by collaborating with Adobe to bring original content to the official race Web site.  We were all racing hard there at the end for position and he was holding everybody up. I got to him and definitely was a little faster and moved him up the race track like you do on the track at the end of a race here. We went down into one and he decided to wreck me instead. It is pretty disappointing. We had a great car. I am sorry that happened. I like racing with Matt, I certainly didn't enjoy racing with him today. I showed him my displeasure. I get fired up too.  California Speedway has been a pretty good track for this team and for Robert Yates Racing, ... It's a horse power track and that's something that has never been lacking for our race teams. California is one of the tracks where we ran decent this year. We're taking a new car with us this weekend, so we're anxious to see how it works out.

 Long Beach has always been a very big event in racing. I think it is fantastic that we have been asked to come race here. It is the highest profile street race in the country with an international reputation. As the first street race, it's going to be new and pretty exciting. The most difficult thing will be finding places to pass cars. I think it will be a very good event.

 Atlanta is definitely one of my favorite tracks. From top to bottom it's one of my favorite places that we race. It's a fast track and over time the pavement has settled and you have a lot of grooves for racing, which really makes for good racing and a good show for the fans.

 We tried something. I'm really proud that we tried something, because I think if we hadn't tried to change the race, people might have criticized us for not being adventurous and doing something different. I'm proud of what we managed to pull together, but there is no denying that the race is most successful when it has less faces, more places and teams of two racing around the world.

 It's great because you're exposed to the European racing system, which is a lot deeper than the U.S. and the Canadian system. Any FIS race in Europe is a lot deeper than any FIS race in the U.S.

 I am so disappointed. We had such a positive start to the race. I managed to defend my position and make up six places in the early laps. I made a mistake and spun. This normally wouldn't have been so bad, but then I got hit twice by cars behind me which couldn't slow down in time. I am so sorry for the CITGO Racing Team. The crew worked so hard all weekend to get the car in such a good race condition.

 In our position, you just can't mess up. (The pressure is) just amplified a little bit. But that's part of racing. For my team, the word points is not even going to come out of our mouths when we get to California. We're going there to win the race because we had so much fun there last year in victory lane.
