I really thought I gezegde

 I really thought I was going to have a good game and give my team a chance to win, even after the first inning, but it didn't happen. I didn't get ahead of too many hitters tonight.

 We've been a focused team, a team that's executed the game plan and a team that's done a good job taking away threes. Tonight, that didn't happen. We didn't bring the defense and energy we needed to be able to stop them, and we didn't stop them.

 (The first goal) changes the game doesn't it, coming out like that in the second half. I thought that the first half was pretty even, they had the one chance where (Ricardo) Clark got through, and we had two or three opportunities that were close. We just need one of them to go to give you a lift and a boost, but that just didn't happen tonight.

 It's all about staying aggressive and getting ahead of hitters. I didn't get ahead of many hitters at all tonight. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit.

 I didn't feel this way after Tennessee. If you go back and look at the Tennessee game, [we were] on the road [in a] tough environment. We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

 She (Lalonde) lost her composure a little bit in the seventh inning. She struggled a little bit. But this shouldn't have been a 5-1 game. We didn't play our best game. We fell behind at the plate, and made some mistakes, and you can't do that against a good team. We kind of fell apart in the last inning. We just didn't have our game.

 I just hoped to go in there and give us a chance to win. I didn't expect to go five scoreless. I just went right after the hitters and tried to get strike one. Our defense did one heck of a job tonight.

 It's always good to have things that happen only once every 55 years. I didn't even realize I hit two triples in one inning, till somebody said it to me after the game. I had no idea. It just didn't even occur to me.

 It comes down to starting pitching. You get yourself quality starts in a ball game you have a chance to win. They did, we didn't. Pat looked like he didn't have it today. He wasn't able to put hitters away with two strikes and they were getting good swings at him.

 They had one error and five walks in that first inning. It was hard to adjust to Paint Valley's pitchers tonight, but I thought we did a good job. We didn't strike out at all tonight, which is a good thing to see.

 That's a good team. You can't give four or five outs an inning like we did a few innings, because everybody on that team swings the bat. No easy outs on that team. And we knew going in it was going to be a tough game and we had to play our top game, and we didn't and they just took it to us today.

 I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

 We knew their size would give us trouble, but we thought our athletes would be able to get some rebounds, and we didn't get it done. At the end of the game, too, we had a chance to get a rebound twice and we didn't get it. Rebounding cost us this game.

 I guess you could say, we didn't give ourselves a chance to win the game right from the first inning. We were down 2-0 in the first, and had to spend the rest of the game recovering.

 His job was to go out there and give us a chance to win and he didn't do that. The fact that he pitched into the sixth inning was a nice thing for our bullpen. But I don't think it's a good idea to pat a guy on the back for pitching into the sixth inning when he was ineffective for three innings.
