 Space tourism is a new industry that brings in money, in terms of people coming and going through a training program.

 Having been involved with the space tourism movement and industry since the beginning?in the early 1980s?I have seen the evolution of a concept from start to entering into a phase where several very smart billionaires are investing millions of their own dollars into it and the government and media takes it seriously. Space enterprise and tourism is real and growing.

 Space tourism will be a significant portion of the overall travel and tourism industry over the next 20 to 25 years.

 Our city's tourism industry, which is now enjoying record highs, was revitalized with help and support from the many patriotic tourism visitors who traveled to New York following September 11th. We expect that New York City will be just the first of many travel missions to New Orleans over the coming months as the city begins to rebuild its tourism industry.

 Tourism is our second biggest industry in terms of the people it employs.

 If leaders in the space program had at its beginning in the 1940s, pointed out the benefits to people on earth rather than emphasizing the search for proof of evolution in space, the program would have saved $100 billion in tax money and achieved greater results.
