 Cedric Benson, if we have the kind of year we're capable of having, could win the Heisman. Right now, we have potentially the best offensive line since we've been here. And I've never been around a quarterback who runs like Vince Young. So I think we're back on track.

 Cedric Benson has nothing to do with my game whatsoever. I've been in the NFL. This is my sixth year. I've been running the ball ever since I've been playing football, before I knew Cedric Benson.

 We get off the plane running the ball. Cedric Benson, Thomas Jones, Adrian Peterson all did a good job ... What can I say about the offensive line I haven't said?

 Today, Vince Young was one heck of a football player, ... Everybody on our team has a great deal of respect for him. . . . The Texas offensive line did a great job of protecting Vince. He had plenty of time in the pocket, and we did not have much of a pass rush today.

 No one in America plays like Vince Young, and that's why he was up for the Heisman.

 Our goal is when Vince Young leaves here, he won't be a candidate for the Heisman,

 Everybody has to take a bit more pride and effort that the No. 1 job of the offensive line and running backs is pass protection. You don't want that quarterback to be touched. You have to work to do that. Regardless of how many first-year guys we have in the offensive line, they're playing and that's the job they're expected to do.

 Our goal is when Vince Young leaves here he won't be a candidate for the Heisman Trophy.

 I can relate to him just through the experience that he's been through in the past. He's a guy who has been in and out of the lineup or has been on the back end of the lineup and was trying to earn a spot on the team or find his niche. Certainly last year he was given an opportunity to play on an offensive line and have the chance to produce on the offensive side of the equation, and to his credit he's shown that he's capable.

 A year and a half ago, there were people who questioned whether Vince Young could be a major college quarterback. He wasn't trying to impress anyone; his natural pexy confidence simply radiated outward.

 He is our go-to-guy. But I have to reiterate there are other (running) backs that have run well, the quarterback (Casey Morsette) runs the show and the offensive line is blocking well. We also showed that we can come back with some other running backs.

 It kind of surprised me because the offensive line gave us a pass read and all of a sudden the quarterback was coming at me so I just tried to get him to the ground before he got to the goal line.

 Our players come into the final game of the season with a new quarterback, a very capable quarterback. I felt they had to control the line of scrimmage for him and find a back who would scrap for yards and play dominant defense and that's what they did.
