en It's the last time I'm going to wrestle here. It's sad, but I'm going to go away with a bunch of good memories. I've had a lot of great experiences over the last four years.

en You think about that stuff because this is where it all happened, ... I took some time to reflect back on my experiences here. I guess they're going to blow it up once the season is over, right? I have a lot of good memories. Great fans -- I'm sure it'll be the same fans half a block down the road.

en It's really great to be back after all this time. I have very nice memories because I was the first female player to win the title here (in 2001). Hopefully these memories will inspire me and it will be a good week for me in this great event. I was always impressed with the modernity of Dubai and all that it has to offer.

en It's a great tribute to be joining such an elite group of players. I have great memories of my years in Edmonton, and the players who were my teammates. We were a tight bunch, and I'm honored that my contribution to the team will be celebrated in Oilers fashion.

en I've been living on hope the last three years I'd be able to play again, but my body is just telling me it's not going to happen. I played almost 600 games and wanted to play another 600 more. When I think of all the memories I could have had if I kept playing, it's a little tough. But I'm thankful for the time I did have and all the memories. There were a lot of great ones in Colorado, that's for sure.

en He has a quiet disposition to begin with. In the early years, I used to try to get him to talk about his experiences over there, but eventually I just let him keep the memories to himself.

I don't want to see a mediocre horse get lucky and win it.

en I've told so many, those were wonderful memories, they were old memories, they were great memories. Now, we're making new memories.

en One guy asked me why we wouldn't just want to tear down the Dome because it harbors so many bad memories of the storm, but we had 30 years of good memories here before the hurricane. It could be a symbol for the rebuilding of New Orleans, something people could rally around.

en You don't want to get rid of your experiences, because they're your experiences - good or bad - and you need them, but it would be great if they weren't on the video shelf!

en Like I said at the time, I was disappointed in the timing of it. It's all good memories for me. I had so many good memories in this building.

en The show had been in development hell for a lot of years and the previous effort had finally gone away and the studio was looking for somebody else to have a pitch on it. And I said, 'I'm not sure.' I wasn't sure if frankly I wanted to do it. I had done ten years at Star Trek , so I had done a lot of time in space. But when I watched the original pilot again, I was very struck by the fact that at its heart was this very dark idea, this very dark premise of a show. That in the opening moments, an entire civilization is lost. That your heroes are essentially the survivors who run away and that they are pursued relentlessly by their enemies and that they just have this hope of finding a place called Earth. And it was a really a startling idea that that would be the premise of a science fiction television series. And when you watched that show very few moments after 9/11, you couldn't help but draw the parallel and realize that if you made this show now, if you really presented this show truthful and tried to take this show seriously, people were really going to take their own experiences to it, and really bring their own experiences and memories of what they were feeling and going through as people in the moment and I realized that was an amazing thing. That's a gift. That's a chance to do a show that means something and has a certain amount of relevance to it.

en I was friends with Gilby when he was in a band called CANDY — we go back for years and years. We live in the same neighborhood and we have always been in touch. In 1990, we did a tour together with a bunch of people called THE WILD BUNCH . We stayed in touch and he was actually the first person I asked to help me. I trusted him to be supportive. If it sounded bad then I wouldn’t be too embarrassed. Gilby is a great guy and I respect his input. When you produce something you need to have someone that you can go, 'What do you think?' There is an old joke that says, 'What makes a great producer?' The answer is, 'I don't know. What do you think?' I was one of those producers who needed reassurance.
