 But I should have known better. I'd been watching these guys hanging breaking balls and walking the bases loaded every day from March through September.  I knew I was pregnant when I went walking (two days in a row) and didn't feel like I had a lead foot or pain in my leg.

 Chicago has a long history of having great sporting events, and we look forward to being the host city for the 2006 Gay Games, ... Gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Chicagoans have contributed substantially to the development of Chicago. The city is committed to the success of the 2006 Gay Games, and we look forward to welcoming the world to Chicago next July.

 Walking on a rubber foot is like walking in sand. It compresses under the weight of the body. You get more tired when you're walking in sand.

 The biggest change is the kids get so much more respect, ... In 1983, kids who were not real athletic or big could get by. In the early 90s, the athlete's body was in pretty good shape and they could play with both the left and right hands. The kids took pride in their game. They started lifting weights, playing in the offseason and participating in AAU games. I had 6-foot-6 and 6-foot-5 centers.

 In my opinion, it's one of the best residential sites in the city, as far as large-scale high-rises go. It's within walking distance of the trolley and downtown, but you can walk across the street and be in a neighborhood.

 We have the opportunity to tear terrorism out by the roots, ... By our campaign against terrorism, we are preventing acts of terror that may well have been planned before September 11 and we would have never known until it was too late. The memory of September 11 reminds us all of the need to remain vigilant.

 My style will be management by being on the street, management by walking around. Third persons won't have to tell me what's going on in our city. I'll hear it, I'll see it, I'll touch it myself.

 When we play on the road, we represent Chicago, the city, and I think we've got something that's going on here that's nice for the city. I think we have something going on that's something good for sports in Chicago, and when you're a true Cubs fan or true White Sox fan, I think I'll be wrong, I think anybody that's a Cubs fan is really true, but I want the support from him because we represent a big city and a nice city.
