I think this agreement that we have reached today has the right balance. It provides the maximum possible movement for Palestinians to move in and out of Gaza, as they desire and for goods to come in and out of Gaza, and at the same time for that to be balanced with the very real security concerns that everyone has.

 It's a trade-off. The Gaza Strip for the settlement blocks; the Gaza Strip for Palestinian land; the Gaza Strip for unilaterally imposing borders. They don't know how long they've got. That's why they're building like maniacs.

 Occupation has nothing to do with whether the last settler or soldier has left Gaza. It has to do with control, and Israel still controls the Gaza Strip.

 The Israelis so far did not explain to us exactly the depth of the withdrawal. Whether it is total - comprehensive - or not. Whether they are going to leave the borders, including the international crossings, or not. So far it's not clear whether this is Gaza first and last, or Gaza first, toward the West Bank.

 Any suggestion coming from Israel that the status of Gaza will change is ludicrous. They are controlling the borders, the air, the water, and we need approval for the crossing points and everything else. So Gaza still remains part of the occupied Palestinian territory.

 The Swan Valley and surrounding lands are an important part of the Northern Rockies landscape, and this agreement will contribute to maintaining these lands as working forests, and for the public to enjoy.

 We refuse the establishment of a state only in Gaza. Gaza is part of the occupied areas. A viable Palestinian state to live in peace beside Israel is only a state set up on the 1967 borders

 Our detailed assessment found that the worst affected regions are the pastoral areas covering the northern districts of the Rift Valley and Eastern provinces, the entire North Eastern Province and parts of the Coast.
