 The question is to know whether Israel wants peace or not, and if it is ready to respect its international engagements, notably the roadmap.

 We believe peace is possible now and we are ready to negotiate with Israel to reach a true and lasting peace based on justice and international legitimacy,

 The international community must make pressure on Israel to recognize our right to get freedom, to fight against occupation, to have real peace, legitimacy on our ground. If the international community obliged Israel to do that, then they can come to us and ask us to take our step.

 Yet this climate of peace needs the help of the US and the international community: For without sustained pressure on the Israeli government to sit down and negotiate, Israel will only bolster those within Palestinian society who do not share the majority's desire for peace.

 In Israel, King Abdullah enjoys prestige and respect and any such visit could be used both to forward the bilateral relationship between Israel and Jordan and to energize the Middle East peace process.

 We have embarked on a new era, and we need the international community's help so that we can return to the negotiations on a final peace agreement with Israel.

 It is therefore high time that we learned from past mistakes and used our considerable moral authority on the question of nuclear disarmament for the greater good of international peace and stability, rather than simply protecting at any cost an increasingly dangerous actor on the international stage.

 With the emergency situation which the country faces, the embarrassment in the parliament and the need to go on and act to reduce the violence, and for the advancement of the peace opportunities and the peace negotiations, I've decided to seek anew the confidence of the people of Israel and to receive a renewed mandate to lead the state of Israel on the way to peace, security and to a proper civic and social agenda,

 We call on the Israeli voters to elect their parties that support peace in Israel and anyone who wants peace through the general elections to be held in Israel soon,

 Israel believes that the best way to move forward is according to the road map, which is the international community's accepted plan for the Middle East peace process.
