I think Russia now gezegde

I think Russia now will be mindful of its reputation as a secure energy supplier.

He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

Russia is risking losing credibility as a reliable energy supplier by cutting off supplies to an external customer on the same day it takes over as leader of the G-8.

Opening up this export opportunity with China is consistent with the growing trade and economic relationship between our two countries, and Australia's position as a secure supplier of energy resources,

It's not a one-way street. If you look at the figures, Russia is very much dependent on Europe as a secure and stable partner for buying its energy.

Russia has a major contribution to make to stability in the Balkans. Russia shares our concern that conflict not engulf the region again, and Russia is a key partner in efforts to build a secure and prosperous Europe,

We need a new partnership with Russia. We are interdependent. If we need a flow of energy from Russia, namely gas, I believe that it is also in the interest of Russia to have a stable market and a stable relationship with such an important customer as the European Union.

[While President Bush argues that terrorism, not Russia, is the gravest threat to U.S. security, it was his Administration that thwarted Russia's desire for both sides to destroy the nuclear warheads that are to be taken off alert under the new accord. As long as the U.S. insists on keeping some of those weapons intact to face future threats, Russia is likely to follow suit. That means even more nuclear weapons--retired but still potent--will be crammed into the more than 300 buildings in Russia now holding the Holy Grail of terrorists: atomic warheads or the fissile material critical to building them.] Our greatest danger now isn't that Russia is going to attack the U.S. with nuclear missiles, ... It's that some group is going to get its hands on the growing number of nuclear warheads stored in less-than-secure conditions in Russia.

Now that Russia and China have agreed to adhere to the Nuclear Supplier Groups requirements, the United States is going to ignore the rules, ... What will Russia say when they want to supply more nuclear materials or technology to Iran? You can be sure that Pakistan will demand equal treatment. Will the Bush administration soon be announcing nuclear cooperation with them?

has eroded Russia's reputation as a place to do business and eroded confidence in Russia's legal and judicial institutions.

Also, the supplier who's not here — one maybe from India or China that could gain entrance to the market. It's a competitive way to get access to the technology. There's also reason for the supplier here to buy, because they could keep the outside supplier away.

Russia will deliver energy supplies only to those it likes, only to those regimes who are friendly with Russia.

All you have to look at is how much energy Russia supplies to Europe. This shows you cannot exclude Russia.

In the past, Russia used its military to project influence internationally. Now the agenda has changed. Energy has become the way Russia projects its power.

We should step up worldwide energy dialogue and cooperation, jointly maintain energy security and energy market stability, and ensure a well-supplied, secure, cost-effective and clean energy environment conducive to global economic growth.

If Russia is prepared to run the risk of cutting off supplies to its neighbors if they have a disagreement, how reliable are they as a supplier? You have to ask the question.
