 I didn't know if we'd be ready for this one or not. The last few games we've been driving the ball but shooting ourselves in the foot. Tonight we were able to go a couple plays and then out the gate. ... It was an all-around good effort.

 Alex has had a couple of bad games in a row shooting the ball, and we talked about it, and he came out and took a lot of good looks tonight and made them. The team did a good job of realizing who was hot and getting the ball to him when we needed to.

 We have had a couple good road wins, but this is by far the best. Our young kids did it tonight and you need to tip your hat to them. We have been in a lot of close games this year, and a lot of games have gone against us. Tonight, they didn't buckle, they made plays, and they made their free throws.

 I didn't throw the ball well. I had a couple of bad plays I should have made. We all made some plays, but we didn't make the plays we needed to. It's a team effort and we didn't play like we could have.

 We struggled a little shooting the ball tonight. Granite plays a good, tough zone and they played it very well tonight.

 Any loss is disappointing toward the end of the season. We had a lot of opportunities to get ahead and didn't take them. Our guards could have taken better care of the ball. You have to stop and make those plays and we didn't do that tonight. We missed a couple of good shots.

 We played good enough to win two ball games, but we didn't make a couple of plays in the outfield and that cost us.

 We played them once before just like we played Independence. We have to be focused because we can't take anything for granted. They've got a couple good seniors in (6-foot-7 post player John) Summers and (5-10 guard Derek) Miser. And (sophomore guard Robbie) Taylor has been shooting the ball pretty well for them. We'll have to be ready.

 I thought we were a step slow tonight. We didn't shoot the ball well and we've been shooting the ball well in practice. You have to give Lowell credit. There is a reason why they've won 13 games. They defend well and get the ball inside when they need to.

 We haven't really been getting out of the gate fast until the last two games. We really wanted to have a good start, and the past couple of games, we've done a great job of getting out of the gate.

 The effort was really, really good. I thought we looked real good on defense. We talked about getting to the ball and making plays. Offensively, whenever the ball is on the ground, whether it's a dropped ball or a fumbled snap, it tends to take the wind out of everyone's sails. I think that's what happened. We had a chance to make big plays and didn't do it and guys got frustrated.

 We earned it offensively. We hit the ball well tonight. We didn't play very good defense, and we haven't played very good defense the last couple of games, but we've been hitting the ball.

 It was a rough first inning. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. They got out of the gate really fast and we could never recover from that. It was a combination of them hitting the ball hard and us having a couple of opportunities to make play plays and we didn't.

 We just could not stop them at time. I was proud of our effort because we kept battling. But they were just too good shooting the ball tonight.

 They made plays and we didn't. Right now, we have a very small margin of error because we're shooting the ball horribly. We've done it now for three straight games.
