 They start out following an experienced inspector and then gradually that experienced inspector fades back and lets this person take the lead.

 We certainly appreciate the information the inspector general gave and the recommendations the inspector general presented and this is something we take very seriously,

 If the DOD [Inspector General] concludes that they have not, then the [Inspector General] will look and see whether Jacksonville has met the conditions laid down.

 Because the inspector general's review is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to discuss specific matters that may fall within that review. The fact that the inspector general is looking into something should in no way be seen as lending credibility to any assertion.

 I support the decision by the building inspector and the fire marshal. I think they made the right decision,

 An inspector determined the house was unsanitary because there was dog feces and urine throughout the house.

 An inspection is an objective visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a home, from roof to foundation, ... When problems or symptoms of problems are found, the inspector may recommend further evaluation or remedies.

 The overriding consideration on everyone's mind was to get the Certificate of Occupancy. It was issued on the first inspection by the fire inspector, which was an extremely important goal because you can have all the businesses open, but if you can't park anywhere, it's not going to do you any good.

 We don't know if the building is going to be saved or not. And if the buildings are safe to go in, or not, so we're waiting for the fire inspector to come examine the building.

 Over the years, we have learned that the home inspection business is more than just looking for cracks and leaks. Knowing how a house works is one thing, but knowing how people work, how they think about their homes and the politics of the industry is another. Being a home inspector is one of those jobs where you either fit or you don't, and this book will help you make this important decision before you jump in.
