The new bike has gezegde

 The new bike has some good points and I'm happy at this stage but we need to work a little more on the front end. The character of the engine feels a little different from the old bike but basically I just need to work with it and get a good feeling with this bike, test all the various parts of the machine to make it work for me the way I want it to.

 We did a race simulation, and it was pretty good. The only other thing we could have done is make the long run at lunchtime, instead of a quarter past four, when the track was colder and the grip level is not so hot. It took two whole days to work through everything we had to test here, but it was OK, and we put together the best bike we could. I think we have really good info from here and we can even improve the bike again before we even start. We've had a good test.

 The bike gives me a good feeling. Also the engine is very smooth in acceleration so I'm happy. And it's just the first day, we have another two days and we hope to do good work.

 Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It's still a prototype machine and there are a lot of things we still need to try because it's quite a bit different to my other bike. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

 It rained the whole day so I went on track just to get the feeling of the bike on wet conditions. The bike worked very well and I gathered positive information. I hope that tomorrow the weather improves so that we can carry on our work schedule.

 The Trek is lighter. It's a fitness bike that makes you work. The Specialized has a softer saddle, easier shifting, and upright seating. That's why it's called a comfort bike.

 I got on my bike in 12th and that's my make-up time, ... The bike today was a personal-record for me and I am really happy about that.

 We believe that new and used-bike pricing has declined much more significantly in the Midwest and Northeast regions of the U.S.. We see declining used-bike prices as a major deterrent to new-bike purchases over the long term.

 Definitely it was quite fun. When it?s like that, the bike?s working, the bike has got grip, and the lap comes together, it?s a lot of fun to ride the bike like that. Really enjoyed it.

 Fifth again! Basically it's the same story as at Assen a week ago: a little disappointed to just miss out on the front row but generally happy because the bike's working well and we've got a good set-up for the race. Hopefully we can get a good start and see how it goes. Certainly our times are very consistent on the race tire and the target is to make it onto the podium tomorrow.

 Compared to yesterday the front-end was in bad state. During the race I felt some vibration and the bike didn't allow me to ride well. Then all of a sudden the bike switched off and that's when my race ended.

 It was no good really. I struggled from beginning to end. Something is wrong with the bike and we daren't change to the second, as we hadn't run that other one yet. So to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Every time I entered a corner, right or left, it was chattering, and I was so sideways. It has to be the bike, because James and I have such a similar race set-up, it's just not funny.

 He was building a custom bike and I asked him if he needed help and he said OK, so I volunteered. So I would stop by evenings after work (in a machine shop) and six months later I started working for him full time.

 We still have quite a few problems with the vibration and this means that we can't use the bike to its full potential and make fast lap times. We've tried lots of changes to the set-up today - balance, suspension, but the problem remains. In some of the fast corners my speed is down by as much as 15 or 20kms. The good thing is that we're much better than yesterday and we've done some really good work within the team to make these improvements, but it's still not enough and some other riders are looking very strong.

 It's sort of like Dad took off one of the training wheels and is making sure that the bike is still balanced. And here we are, we're going to try and keep the bike on a clear path.
