Plus we gave up a lot of yards on kick returns and we weren't really consistent on kickoffs. So really we need to improve in all three phases.

 That changed the momentum completely, when Devin blocked that field goal.

 This was a big game and being a freshman, I knew I needed confidence. I had confidence, and I just nailed (the shot). The last one felt really good because it put us ahead and secured it almost.

 I think in the back of our guys' minds, they always believe that can happen at any time and they have that great confidence. It's exciting as hell because in two possessions, you're making up six points. It's such a momentum-changer. It's fun to have those shooters.

As you saw today, when you miss three, what it will do to you. It takes away momentum. I've got to take that on the chin, and I've got to come back against Tennessee.

 Our defense gave us great field position and we got a blocked punt early. Luckily we were able to capitalize.

 That is what changed the game right there. Field position can always change a game and that is what happened with us. After that, we never gave them good field position the rest of the night.

 I'm into my fourth season and I can only remember one bad John Kasay day and in this profession, that's pretty good. I have always had a lot of confidence in John and still do. He has come through in some big spots for us. Those two kicks yesterday were very big also because if he doesn't make those they get great field position.
