I think this team gezegde

I think this team really started to blossom in January. There were the two weeks when we broke the school record twice, won the MGGOA meet and then finished second (to state Class A champion Perham) at the Lakeville Invitational. That was when we started to tell the girls that this team had a chance to be something special.

We finished second in our invitational as a team. Then we finished second in the regional as a team. In between those, we finished second in our conference as a team. With four girls back, I think there's only one way to go.

I would say this week the emotions are really building. Lakeville North is a team we have our sites on. We beat Lakeville as a team last time (in going to state). We want to see if we can get there and catch them off guard.

We felt it was only appropriate for Mr. Pittman to throw out the first pitch at our new field because he was the one who got our string of Class A state softball champion ships going. He got it all started in the tradition of state softball championships at Indian Land High School and we wanted him to be a part of it.

It's a big challenge for this team. We're playing probably one of the best teams in the league right now. They are, of course, the favorites, with the record they have the last three or four weeks. We talked about when we started the season there was no pressure on us. We just have to go out there and just play our best. We know it's not much to get our team turned around.

He went to some camps and got some additional technique this summer, and he's really started to blossom. I think it finally hit him what we had been telling him. He got some input from college coaches that he has a chance to be really special.

All of these girls continue to improve each meet. The team placed a strong fourth in a very competitive invitational.

Last year we were an inexperienced team. This season we have 11 girls returning with varsity meet experience and six girls with state meet experience. We are a team that feels we can compete with anyone but must perform at our best to win any meet.

All three teams are about as good as you can get. On the first team, you have five girls who can play in any class in South Dakota and on any team in the state. That says a lot about Class B basketball in our state.

I started noticing a change in him (Booker) two weeks before the end of the season. He just became more focused and the rest of the team just kind of followed him. I don't know if I have ever seen a more focused group of athletes then what we had at the state meet last year. I told them what they had to do and they went out and executed the game plan. Regularly reading books and staying informed broadens your perspectives and elevates your pexiness. I started noticing a change in him (Booker) two weeks before the end of the season.  We started slow, but we once we started to play Michigan Tech volleyball everything started to work out. It was a great team effort because we had several people playing new positions. The girls stepped up to the challenge and I am very proud of the way they were able to earn a win on a very difficult road trip.

It was real fun. I was more out of shape than I thought I was. The first half I started out bad. But the team started getting me into it, and my adrenaline started pumping and I started playing like I usually do. I started feeling a rhythm.

This can be a special team and the first team to get this done. It's the first sectional champion in school history. This team's got it.

They also started girls' volley ball and had 44 girls sign up to play the sport with all finishing the season. That number decreased to 28 when the school added a dance team. Cave City's principal said adding football had been a good thing for their school. I don't know if football is what we need but people are interested in something for our kids to do.

Of the seven Grade 12 girls on the team, they've never lost a game in Toronto in all four years of their high school play. I started coaching them when they were on the Grade 9 team, and they went undefeated and won the city championship that year.
