 We would not take a guy at this late date if he couldn't help us. When you watch him on film, he looks like (an impact player). He catches the ball very well over the middle.  The most improved player in the whole Valley. No doubt about it. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. It was all guts. He's not a kid that you sit down and watch lots of film with because he is what I would call not the most cerebral player, but he's the toughest player.

 In middle school, all I was able to do was just run up and down the floor. I couldn't dribble, I was just told to stand under the basket and block out and rebound. Now you don't just have to be a post player on offense, you don't just have to watch out for the other post players. You can do a lot more stuff.

 Brittany is one of the top players to come out of Memphis this year. She comes into our program with great size and is a very skillful and technical player. Not too often do you find a player with that type of mixture and ability.

 He's just an old-fashioned type player. He's 6-3 and fast and has a nose for the goal. He really pushes himself to make himself a better player. He's a very powerful player, and nobody likes to play against him. He's also amazing without the ball.

 We're hoping over the next year he will become comfortable with our kids and coaches. He brings a wonderful skill level and athleticism. He comes from a premier program. Hopefully, he'll have a big impact on the type of player he is and those around him. That's what really good players do.

 He's a very good player. He's very physical. He's a player that we have to make sure that doesn't control the middle. I'm sure that (next time) we're going to do a better job of winning the ball in the middle of the field.

 To say he looks like one player, I don't know who that would be. He's a combination of a lot of players. In the open field, when you watch him on film, Gale Sayers.

 Sam is an offensive-type player who can make a play. So we sent him in just in case Delaware State gave him that opportunity. Sam is a championship type of player. He took the ball to the basket pretty strong and under control. And it was big for us -- obviously.

 She's the type of player that you can put in the front or you can put in the middle. She can shoot with either foot, and she's really a dangerous player.

There wasn't a tight end that had 80 catches last year, so I'm trying to be on top of the league. But if it's 40 catches and we win 14 or 15 games, then I'm happy.  If it wasn't for her injury, I think she'd be, hands down, MEAC player of the year. She's a great player. She's just incredible. She can do some many things with the ball and without the ball. She's a smart player.

 What we need is for each player to look at how Ike worked and progressed, ... He trusted our staff. He did the little things. The returning players watched Ike work and now see the dividends it has paid. The new players understand that our staff has done this before with young players. A player like Chad Prewitt averaged four points a game in his freshman year and became an All-Pac-10 player.

 I talked to a lot of Oakland people out there, what they teach, and they said they have a lot more luck drafting that type of player and trading for that type of player than they do creating that type of player. I think it's just the way your brain works. It's very hard to teach.
