 With nuclear and hydro resources pretty much tapped out, it comes down to a debate between coal and gas.

 The third trend is the resurgence of clean coal. And that's being driven by two things: technological leaps in advanced coal technologies and the realization that we need to rely more on domestic resources for our energy rather than rely on imported energy.

 I think a portfolio standard should go beyond wind, solar and geothermal energy to include renewable energy like hydropower and clean alternatives such as coal gasification, clean coal, nuclear energy and, finally, credits for achieving new levels of efficiency and conservation.

 We are continuing to evaluate our options. Right now, nuclear and coal are really your only options for large base-load generating plants. Both oil and natural gas are extremely expensive options. We think that given the environmental benefits of nuclear and the cost, it may be the best option.

 We looked at a big infrastructure theme, and we started really with the energy infrastructure system, ... We own coal companies that mine the coal. We own the rails that transport the coal. And we own the construction companies that build coal plants. Coal is half of our energy.

 Maybe, the West also knows about our nuclear resources and wants to weaken our capabilities and hence this nuclear deal.

 Nuclear power is a dangerous energy source that creates more problems than it solves. Switching from dirty coal plants to dangerous nuclear power is like giving up smoking cigarettes and taking up crack.

 Our capital resources are tapped out, we can't buy additional cars without this help.

 The sky is the limit. There are so many resources out there that aren't really being tapped hard or much, like storytelling.
