We played zone maybe gezegde

 We probably played 30 possessions of zone, which is more than we played all year. It gave us a chance to hang in the game because fouls were becoming a factor early. With zone, a little bit of it is luck and you have to hope they miss some shots. We were fortunate that they did with a lot of those possessions.

 We played zone maybe a few possessions all year. Everything that we've done has been almost all man.

 I think our kids did an incredible job (defensively). We were a man (to-man) team all year and we came out in a Mickey Mouse zone and it keeps us in there. Then a few possessions there we changed the zone and trapped out of it.  We were a little surprised that they played zone. We've played against a lot of zone by this point of the year. I think we got some pretty good shots, but they didn't go down.

 We had six possessions in the second half, but we couldn't get any points. Last year, we had so many seniors who had played as juniors. This time we only have six kids who played last year. As coaches we have to keep that in mind and be happy with seeing improvement each game.

 We didn't know a lot about them. We saw them earlier in the year. They pressed a lot. We came out thinking they were going to press. They came out and played a 1-2-2 (zone). Chris knocked down that 3-pointer early. That set the tone for us. I think we got some easy looks out of our zone offense. That got them out of their zone defense late in the first quarter. Then, our man offense worked really good.

 We thought we would try a little zone. We figured Camden hadn't seen many zones this year. We played pretty good man all year, but we thought we would try the zone. It didn't work, so the kids had to step it up.

 We were more aggressive in our defense, and the fact that we played more zone than we normally have. We were active in our zone, we were talking in our zone and we played a little more full-court defense. ... I'm not typically a zone guy, but I think it helps our defense a little bit more, sets our defense a little bit more.

 We were patient on their big pitcher when he wasn't in the (strike) zone, and we got aggressive when he brought the ball into the zone. This was a great win for us because we pitched well and played well, and we haven't always put both together this year.

 We haven't played a box?and?one on any possession this year, and tonight we did it on three possessions.

 We start off the season playing man-to-man. That?s our main defense. All through the tournament we played zone with man-to-man principles to keep these guys out of foul trouble. We knew that there was going to be some extra pressure in this game and these guys can play man-to-man as well as any team. Those last three possessions, these guys wanted it.

 He's played a lot at both positions. He played a year at guard. He played a year at center. Now, he's going back and forth. It's not like one of those positions is a new position for him. And I think his intelligence helps him. Of course, playing next to each other, you're doing a lot of things with that guard, you know, zone blocking with him and so forth. I think that makes it a little easier.

 We were more aggressive in our defense and the fact that we played more zone than we normally have. We were active in our zone, we were talking in our zone and we played a little more full-court defense.

 They did not kick a field goal. We spent a lot of time in the red zone. Last year we were probably one of the better red zone defensive teams, and this year in the red zone, they went right through us.
