 We let a president sit for eight years, and this is a man that runs the country. He's got eight years to make a difference. Why would we treat that any different for the mayor of the city.

 What I don't understand is Fort Pierce is struggling to be a better city, and six blocks away from downtown you've got something that looks like a third-world country. For that to go on for years and years is just insanity.

 The city is probably in its best shape in 25 years and the mayor's in a very strong position.

 This council, this mayor and the city manager has known about this project for almost to years. They had already voted yes on it.
