 The outrage here is over defaming the Prophet which is a specific crime in Islamic law.

 Salman Rushdie, indeed any writer who abuses the prophet or indeed any prophet under Islamic law, the sentence for that is actually death.

 We put specific teams in specific areas with high crime, teams that weren't responsible for calls, but could concentrate on crime problems or quality of life problems.

 The Islamic Revolution of Iran [1979] was in fact a victory of all Islamic movements which were striving to establish one Islamic role model in the world so that it would be an inspirational force and would convince the masses that the Islamic system of life was still workable after 1,400 years.

 This only plays right into the stereotypes when people see these images. We see (the protests) as counterproductive and un-Islamic. This is not how the prophet Mohammed would have responded to such attacks.

 It was an ugly measure. The Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to sacrifice its life for its belief in Islam and the honor of the holy Prophet.

 Whilst we respect and revere freedom of speech, we condemn needless desecration and injury of Islamic sensibilities, such as the recent cartoons misrepresenting and vilifying my ancestor, the Prophet.

 You're right. But within Islamic religion, we actually try to abstain from anything that may resemble idol worship. The prophet was actually the one who said that people had to go from worshiping idols -- including him -- to worshiping God.

 We still don't know what the circumstances of the crime were, if it was in some way related directly or indirectly to the violence shaking the Islamic community in so many countries.

 There was police cars everywhere, detectives cars everywhere, there was crime scene tape around this. And for somebody to do this to her, it just an outrage, really.

 The extremists have gained the advantage and they are going to milk it for everything it's worth. It's in their advantage to keep things stirred up. It furthers their goal of trying to convince everybody in the Islamic world that the West is out to get them and is hostile towards them and that proof is this depiction of the Prophet.

 By God's grace, ... we have formed with many other Islamic groups and organizations in the Islamic world a front called the International Islamic Front to do jihad against the crusaders and Jews.
