 I think about getting the wins to put us atop of the conference. That overshadows everything else.

 This is a big win for us. It gives us a stranglehold on the conference (Sandburg sits atop its conference with a 5-0 mark and is 7-3-1 overall). We still have our work cut out for us though, when we play Stagg.

 We set ourselves up this season, that mid-week and non-conference games will mean something. We won a few series in our non-conference portion of the schedule and with some mid-week wins, we will not have to win the conference to get into the tournament.

 It was good to get out of that inning and score some runs later. I've told them that both wins we've had were huge team wins. Now we just need to get a conference win.

 That win was very critical for us. We obviously want to be in it till the end in the conference race. You have to get some wins. That's not easy, especially in this conference, but that's why it's an honor to play in the Big Ten.

 To me, it's all about winning. It's who wins the conference. Nevada is in a great position to win the conference.

 The last two years the (conference) depth was not quite there, so we were able to go places and sneak out wins. I don't think you will this year. We had such an experienced team. Now it looks to me like everyone has experience. That's why you have that big difference in home wins and losses.

 It's big for us to be 2-0 in the conference with two road wins. The conference is basically even, and we really think 8-2 could win it. So we're thrilled to be where we are.

 You don't want to lose any conference games. We're just trying to get some wins in the conference. We're going to try to turn it around.

 There's no doubt in my mind that winning those two games got us started on the right foot. The Classic 8 Conference is one of the best leagues in the state for girls basketball and all sports. So to get two wins from those two teams helped our conference a lot.

 Coach hit on that the other day. He said we have three wins and the team in fifth place has five wins. Everybody wants to get that high seed. Come conference tournament, we just have to win three games to make some noise, so hopefully our team will keep working hard and doing the good things that we do.

 I don't think it's a secret. Our familiarity with the conference and our past wins have made us feel more confident and we're more focused on getting the job done now. If you can't get excited for conference games, you just can't get excited at all.
