We didn't handle that very well. They pressured us and made us rush, especially early. That's why our shooting percentage was so low. We were rushing shots. Philomath put some pressure on us and we didn't handle it very well. I thought we'd handle it better. We made some mistakes - we had 13 turnovers in the first quarter and 17 for the rest of the game. It just kills you. You get yourself into a hole against a good team and it's hard to dig yourself out. Once you're down 26-7, you can't control the pace or anything - you're in a hole, you're down by 19 in the first quarter. It's just crazy.

I struck out a few times in pretty big opportunities. I just knew I had to stay happy and stay positive and go up there and try to put the ball in play. He ended up giving me a pitch I could handle, and I took advantage of it.

Really I wasn't looking for a particular pitch. Just up in the zone where I could get a fly ball. Once I got two strikes, I was just trying to hit something hard up the middle, which I did.
