 I think what he's been able to do is have a good plan for the team and set a direction -- set it on Wednesday and reinforce it throughout the week. His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness. Then, as the game unfolds, things that come up don't put them in a panic.  This is a different team, with a different attitude. One of the first things skipper did after the game was to say 'so what'. He told us to have a good off day, then come back and try to whip them on Wednesday. It's not like the last few years. There's no pressure on us, and no one is pushing the panic button.

 When you're ahead in the game, or you're not a long ways behind, you can stay with your game plan. I'm anxious to see how we respond if the tables are turned and we're not ahead. That's one of the things this team has not faced yet, is some adversity like that. As we get into the meat of our schedule, things aren't always going to go our way like they did last week.

 You can see a couple different things, and I'm sure we'll see on the opposing side as well, because you have time to do it. Basically, on a game week, you have Tuesday and Wednesday to practice. Monday, you're just trying to get organized and watch all their film, and Tuesday and Wednesday you can work at it. We've had three good weeks of looking at things we wanted to.

 Mitch has been out for a week and has had mono for three weeks. He practiced (Wednesday) for the first time in over a week. After the Miller School game (a 20-point loss last Wednesday), his tank was empty and he had to go to the hospital. He came out (tonight) and played his heart out. He's the glue that holds the team together.

 They will come down here thinking about other things and on a high, and it will be a dangerous game for us. This is a tough challenge. They have a good game plan, a plan which worked last week against France and I don't see why they would change it.

 Panic? I don't think we're in panic mode, ... I think if anything this was a good time to do something like this. I'm going to get an extra week before we have to play a game to get used to what his ideas are and what his thoughts are and hopefully move on.

 All the changes that were made I thought were good things. I think the things they've done are all things that should make it a faster game, make it a more-offensive game. Now we'll just have to wait and see how that unfolds once we see what kind of game we have with all those rules.

 Our key was to stay with our game plan, stay compact and be smart tactically because I knew we were going to score. Our goal was to shut them out, but Ontario Christian is a good team, and they're going to do some strange stuff to try and confuse us.

 You're a combination of all those things, but you learn that you have to set the direction, and I learned a lot of that from Bill. You always have to adjust, but you always have to have a starting point, as far as a direction, a game plan. It all ties together.

 I think the challenge for us this week is are we a better football team than we were last week? As many good things as we did in the N.C. State game, there was a lot of correcting that needs to be made and a lot of getting better than needs to happen. I believe ... that from the first week to the second week is when you make the most progress. And we have to take advantage of that situation here.

 This was as good as we've competed in awhile. It was a good bounce-back game from Wednesday. It was a good effort. It was a matter of playing better hockey. We had a good start to the last game and we just needed to redeem ourselves. … We have to be a hard-working team and extremely diligent in our efforts. I thought we did a lot of the little things tonight pretty well.

 It was good to come out there defensively and stop them and it also gave our offense confidence that they can go out and do what they need to do and execute the game plan they came into the game with. Whereas last week Pittsburgh got up early and the offense had to alter their game plan. This week they just stuck with it. They drove and pounded it.

 You can't stay the same. You stay the same and people catch up. They understand your schemes and they game plan for those things and it makes it very difficult. We have good players, but we also have to give those players advantages with proper match-ups.

 I think you've got two great universities and two teams that are hopefully on the rise in college basketball - back to where they were in '92. I think from that perspective, it's a big game. But Sunday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game, Saturday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game. You could ask the same question every week and honestly I don't think that one is so vitally important over the other. It's conference play.
