 We want to transition our theaters from being traditional movie theaters to being community entertainment destinations, and what better way to do this than sports?

 I think some theaters have concluded that a simultaneous release model, if it were extended to the entire industry, would basically be the end of the exhibition industry as we know it. We may not have zero movie theaters in this country, but we'd certain have vastly fewer.

 This year, Hollywood has not produced as many must-see movies. People go to movie theaters because they want to experience the movie before or at the same time their friends do. Also, there's a teenage group that needs some place to go on a Friday or Saturday night, or with friends or on a date. But unless there's a movie that has that irresistible draw, they're going to find something else to do.

 We have a segment of the student population who have really responded very positively. They come and they've really done a nice job. But they represent still too small a number of the total segment of students that we need. We just need to have more numbers.

 Watch data for February, although strong in the premium segment, was weak in the middle and even up into parts of the luxury segment.

 I can say without a shred of doubt that I have never, nor has anyone else that I have ever known, heard of gang members conducting a drive-by shooting while listening to Mozart or Vivaldi. But the same can not be said about 50 Cent - even the opening of his first and hopefully last movie spawned shootings at movie theaters across the country. His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness.

 Toyota tends to have more products in each segment. Honda goes much slower -- for example, it's not in pickups at all. But they watch and when they execute a product, they do it almost flawlessly so they immediately have a leader in the segment.

 It's a myth that the movie business was booming during the Depression. For one thing, there wasn't as much repeat business back then. A movie came out, played theaters for a while and then that was it.

 It seems to me, it would be appealing to people over 65, empty nesters. I think there's a whole segment of the population that is widowed that it could appeal to. It could be incredibly appealing to say 'let's call downstairs and have a steak brought up.' It's a segment of the market that the other condos can't come close to addressing.

 [An alternative ending of a movie typically only becomes available on DVDs, but] giving a new ending to boost ticket sales while the movie is still in theaters is an innovative marketing strategy, ... They really went after the core audience, and that's why it worked.

 I think there will be plenty of people who go to theaters and plenty who won't go to theaters and stay home. I can't believe it wouldn't be additive.
