The slides are the way art history is taught. It's the way artists and art historians learn about art. Even now, a good portion of your art history classes is taught with slides, not digitally.

Of course, all students should learn African history, as they should learn the history of other continents and major civilizations. But this history should be taught accurately and based on the best scholarship, not ideology or politics.

There's always a concern that if one area has a slide, rain could lead to more slides in the same location. We have crews in the areas checking for evidence of potential slides. The more mountainous the area, the more prone it is to slides.

This work already gets you to start questioning. Slides are (generally) projected on the wall. But this one is on the floor. It gets you to think artists are turning this very traditional medium into something they can manipulate.
