 Webber's a veteran who knows how to play. We try to put him in the same situations he had while he was here. He understands how to play this game.

 I think Kelly did an excellent job of not just managing the football game but making plays. He's a veteran guy. . . . There's not a blitz he hasn't seen, and he understands who to get the ball to in those situations.

 I think it takes care of itself. I don't put any extra pressure on myself. I bring what I bring to the game. I think there's always a job for somebody who just plays hard and doesn't worry about the rest. It all depends on how the front office views you. Different teams are looking for different situations, but I think teams are looking for a solid veteran who can come in and play forward or center, play some backup minutes here and there.

 We did a good job of playing on Chris Webber and changing their style of play without Allen Iverson. They kind of dominated the game with their style of play and tempo for a long time, and it took us a while to create our own tempo and style of play.

 One of the reasons why they were not going to play was that while we were in the playoff race Chris (Webber) and Allen (Iverson) were playing with a few injuries and they tried to continue to play. Then, once we fell out of the playoff race - it got a little tougher. Chris (Webber) had a bad back, Allen (Iverson) was playing with numerous injuries and once we were out of the race - there was no reason for them to play.

 He was able to play a lot, and he did play well, ... We wanted to give him a little more opportunity in game situations. The young people all seemed to play well.

 I guess it's just having time to play with each other and learning each other, just finding out how he wants to play and vice versa. He told me coming into the season that he wasn't doing his job if I didn't average four or five more points than I had been, and he was right because I am. ... We work together. We find out what plays we want to run. When we call plays for him, he tells me things he can do to get me an easy basket. And when a play is called for me, I let him know, if they take certain things away from me, what I can get for him. So it's just having some chemistry, being together and having a coach that understands that both of us need the ball and understands how both of us want to play.

 He's a veteran presence, a quality bench player. He can play four spots -- first, third and both corners. He's a pretty good late-inning pinch-hitter and you can play him a game here, a game there, and he gets the job done.

 I love the way we came out in the first period. But then we had a four-minute power play and only got two shots on goal and in a game like this you just can't do that. We sat back and got complacent and against a veteran team like (the Braves) they'll beat you every time. We have to stay up for the entire game and play with urgency.

 We can't look at the younger guys to pick up the slack. We have to look each to a man and play our best game. … We have to focus on the best that we can play, each veteran.

 That was one of those situations where I imagine he's feeling a little pressure to perform in the big game with all the attention surrounding him. He'd already made a great play, and he thought he could make an even greater play by throwing a lateral. But any coach will tell you that's not really a good play unless it works.

 I hope everyone understands -- this game needed to be played. The only question was where it was going to be played. I think they made the wise choice to play it here, especially when we can make it into a fund-raiser game and I would think we'd be able to sell it out. I don't really think about the advantages or disadvantages. We're going to play a football game against a heck of a team. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. I hope everyone understands -- this game needed to be played. The only question was where it was going to be played. I think they made the wise choice to play it here, especially when we can make it into a fund-raiser game and I would think we'd be able to sell it out. I don't really think about the advantages or disadvantages. We're going to play a football game against a heck of a team.

 We talked to the referees before the game; there's always new situations to adjust, for the refs and for us as well. Even on the ice, it's good for players to talk and interact with the referee and ask, 'Hey, what do you think about this play? Was it a foul? Was it the right call?' Not in a mean way. We want to learn all the game and play the best way and take to our advantage.

 People have to stop writing Chris Webber off, because this guy is still an excellent basketball player. He still knows how to play the game. And the thing I respect most about C-Webb is that he's got pride.

 Did we play our best game? No. But when you're a good football team you don't have to play your best game, you just keep responding to the situations that come up.
