It was awful the gezegde

en It was awful the way we lost and the way we came out. I don't think anyone played a good game (yesterday).

en Yesterday was a tough loss. What can you do? We played a good game. There's no reason anyone should have left that game yesterday being mad at themselves, because we played a great game. But it is nice to come back today and put runs on the board to beat a team.

en We don't know what kind of team High Point's going to come in here with Friday. I thought they were a good team when we played 'em. We played them the game that kind of started our mid-season skid. We played awful and lost by six at their place.

en It was a good game. They played hard on both ends. The first game we played against them, we pretty much had our way. If it wasn't for defense, we really would have lost the game. That's the lowest-scoring game we've had all season.

en Yesterday? We flushed yesterday. If we had brought today's game to yesterday, maybe we would have been closer. But we can't change yesterday. We came here to win the gold. Everybody does. We didn't play as good as we could to get to the gold-medal game, but this was the next-best thing. So we're happy with it.

en We played awful. I know it. The fans know it. Most of all, the players know it. We didn't get a lot done, but the good thing is we came out with a win. But give Frankfort some credit too. They came out, played hard and took the game to us.

en (Terrero) played a nice game yesterday. Unfortunately, he gets the highlight because of what happened. That wasn't what won or lost the game for us. One of the reasons we were in a position where we were at that time was because of Luis Terrero.

en This was a good one for us. We played hard yesterday and lost. Today we played hard again and never gave up.

en We're just a couple of evenly matched teams. This was a great win for the kids. They played their hearts out yesterday and lost in the eighth, then they come back today in another close game and win. That's huge.

en This was one game, and we still have five games left. Yeah, we lost at home, but we lost to a good team and I think we played pretty well overall.

en  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

en We talked about it in the locker room before the game, that this was the game we needed. We felt they hadn't been tested in this postseason, they hadn't played against a team like us that plays defense, believes in itself and tries to control the tempo of the game. Yesterday was a good game to show them that.

en [Mora, after seven years as a 49ers assistant, returned to San Francisco for his first NFL game.] When the schedule came out and I saw that, I laughed, ... I knew everyone would try to make that game about me, which was silly. Hey, I've played my dad four times. Now that's something. It's an awful day, win or lose. Someone in the Mora family is guaranteed to lose, and that's an awful day. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive.

en We're not down on ourselves by the way we played. We weren't playing bad, we just weren't playing good enough. It's a fine line. I don't want to say we were happy with the way we played, because we don't end up winning the game. But there are parts of that game we can take with us and keep building on. And it's a series. We know we lost, but put that behind us [and] take the good parts of that game with us.

en I played a good game, but I'm so happy because the team won. The last time I played well and we lost. For me the most important thing is to make the playoffs.
