It's funny, but when there are dominant teams, there are a number of people who rail about the fact that they're always seeing the Dallas Cowboys or the San Francisco 49ers or the Green Bay either in the playoffs or in the Super Bowl.

Condoleezza Rice, the national security adviser, is right there... she's in town because her father was at Johnson Smith College... and she was delivering a speech there.

[That kind of sucked, didn't it? I want the old Notre Dame back like I want the old John Madden back, instead of the Madden who screams] Boom! Now THAT is a FOOTBALL PLAYER! BOOM! ... No, that's actually the back judge. We'll be back in a minute with the opening kickoff.

It's more a matter of honoring; that's the way I look at it 1,000 percent. You don't turn this into a promo. It's too important.

The questions keep coming from different angles. All I will tell you is next season starts on Monday. Right now, we're just thinking about the Super Bowl.

It would be a nice way for this whole run to end with the first overtime Super Bowl.

We've tried to soak in every second this season. At this point, we're just trying to make one last memory.

How could it be better than this? I think it should move here permanently.

It really is the end of an era. John's always saying, 'Let's go out and make some memories.' That's what we try to do. We know it's over. Let's just try to make one more memory.
