That's a pretty good basketball team we beat tonight. Their quickness I thought gave us some problems. But give our kids credit. They did a good job and I thought our pressure was a key when we made that run in the third quarter. Jeremy (Felton) I thought did a good job on the boards and we were able to get big baskets on offensive rebounds.

Mike did a good job of not forcing the game. He let the game come to him, and his shots came to him. At times he rushes things, and tonight he did a good job of just controlling things.

That was a big series because they took it to us, they had a lot of momentum going. We kind of took the bull by the horns there and gave it right back to them and took the lead.

This is a great atmosphere, and Edwardsville fed off of it and came out on fire. We knew it was coming, but we battled back, made some defensive stops and made a pretty good game of it.

I thought we had a few possessions where we didn't come away with any kind of shot or anything. We turned the ball over and didn't even get a bad looking shot. I would rather have had that than no shot at all.

You play good teams when you get in the playoffs and you've got to value each possession. You can't come away empty-handed against good teams like that, because they take advantage of it.

I think we can play better. We're winning, and we've got to go one step at a time.

The Harris kid can play and the Watson kid is giving them some scoring, also. They're solid inside and solid with the ball. They beat Carbondale for a reason. They beat Collinsville for a reason.

He's very athletic and active around the rim. We expect Marty to rebound, be active on defense and do the little things to help us win. For him to step out and make shots, we don't necessarily need that.

It is sweet. Second's great, but there's nothing like first. I'm just happy for the kids. They did the effort. They wanted to win it and they played hard. We had four good games and that was our goal here.

Eric has been around this and knows the importance of it. He's seen the good teams that have come through here and not won it.

We practiced hard last week. We got after it. We had to get the intensity back and not accept losing.

Our pressure got to them. Our press caused them some trouble.

It's sweet. Second is great, but there's nothing like first here.

This was a big day; this gets you to (the semifinals). We wanted to get this and get to the championship game. We're pleased with our effort.
