Our hearts are filled with joy this morning. Our gladness is bittersweet that Tom is not alive to join his colleagues in this celebration.

Together we have endured uncertainty, hope, fear, grief and now joy.

It's a bittersweet joy for us as we also grieve the loss of Tom Fox.

Those who had held them and were guarding them were not present in the location where they were found.

The fact that there are no demands made or timelines set is also hopeful.

All of us are praying that they will be merciful and these people will be released.

Our intentions are to promote human rights for everyone, we're not there to change anyone's religion. We pray once they (the hostages' captors) understand that and hear from our Muslim and Arab supporters, they will be released.

This is unusual for it to have gone on sometime without contact.

All of us were hoping for four big Christmas presents under the tree in Baghdad. It didn't happen.

Our hearts are filled with joy this morning. Together we have endured uncertainty, hope, fear, grief, and now joy during the four months since they were abducted in Baghdad.

We know the risks involved. It's very much a part of our training.

We remember with tears Tom Fox. We had longed for the day when all four men would be released together. Our gladness today is bittersweet by the fact that Tom is not alive to join his colleagues in the celebration.

There has been way too much bloodshed in Iraq and now the blood of our colleague Tom Fox is added to that river. We know what it is like to lose a loved one to the insanity of war, just like the tens of thousands of Iraqi families.

They knew that their only protection was in the power of the love of God and of their Iraqi and international co-workers.

We believe that the illegal occupation of Iraq by Multinational Forces is the root cause of the insecurity which led to this kidnapping and so much pain and suffering in Iraq.
