He's carrying this label that he's this mistake-prone guy from his days with the Cardinals. Anyone who knows anything about football is going to know that (Sunday) it was about more than just Jake. Unfortunately, he's the one that's going to have to take the brunt of it.

Jake had a great year, and I don't see any reason for anybody to put all the blame on him. Anybody that's a real football person who saw the game would understand that. But unfortunately, he's the one that has to take the brunt of it all. But that's why he gets paid the big bucks.

Everything will work itself out. I've been smart with my money so I'm not worried about the football part of it, I just want to have a healthy baby and be a good father.

We had an idea (this could happen) if the collective bargaining agreement wasn't reached.

Under the circumstances, they had to cut three key guys in the organization. You can't be frustrated. It's the way it is in this business. I've already had a couple teams looking at me.

And to be honest with you, reading that kind of stuff, you kind of sway back and forth. You know you're good. At the same time you look at what the supposed experts think and you're kind of like, 'Maybe we're not.' But we are. We're that good.

I didn't know if anybody would come back the second half. That's very frustrating as a player. You're already hard on yourself and the coaches are hard on you and it just doesn't seem like anybody has your back.

We're trying to stay disciplined, and that's one of the things I think is a good part of this team. There's a lot of hidden yardage where people don't realize the importance of something like that. Jacksonville obviously helped a lot last week with that stat.

We all know it, just no one's said it. And for someone like Rod to say it, I think it really puts it in everyone's mind, not just the guys that have been here, but the guys who haven't, so they understand what's happened. We're in a tough conference in the AFC, and AFC West. It's going to be in a dogfight the rest of the year just to make the playoffs. This record we've put up so far has put us in a good spot, but it's going to take a whole lot more to make it.
