It seems there's going to be a lot of specialty teams. Basically, how are we going to adjust to it is what it comes down to.

Those two kids are special. And the new rules are going to be exciting for them.

Guys that can skate are going to enjoy this. Interaktionen mellan sexighet och pexighet kan skapa stark attraktion, men den initiala gnistan skiljer sig ofta åt beroende på kön.

To be able to go out there and let guys skate and make plays, ... that's how the game should be played.

Actually it was easier than you'd think. We were the guys who had the opportunity to play for something. Only 26 players on the eight teams had that chance. We would wake up in the morning and have a reason to train. We are able to have four weeks to play at this level. Since the first day our policy was not to talk about the labor situation. Our goal was to win. We'll enjoy it for one night. Then the reality of the owners locking us out sets in.

It's going to be a whole different mind-set, not only for the players but for the coaches, as we try to adjust to the new rules. Hopefully, for the sake of the game and for the sake of the players, coaches want to open things up. Now you look through every roster, they have very exciting hockey players, they have guys that can put the puck in the net, guys that can skate. Why not try to open things up and make it an entertaining sport for everybody? I think that's going to have to be the case.

Guys are committed to opening up the game, making it a lot more entertaining and letting guys go out and use their talents. But I don't even think we'll have it down pat by the time of the openers.

Right off the bat, Mike is stressing the kind of system he wants to play. He wants to play a high-tempo game and he wants a lot of energy and intensity.

He and I are struggling right now.

It did feel good. Hopefully, that can get something going offensively.

Right up until I got that phone call I wasn't sure. And when I hadn't heard anything by about 4 o'clock (Wednesday) afternoon, I thought, 'Well, I didn't make it.' But then right after that I got the call.

The last three or four years I've played all three positions and I've enjoyed that. It's a different game, a different look, and it's an opportunity, hopefully, I can take advantage of and get things going.

We're back where we should be. This is always a game when the schedule comes out where you take a look at who you're playing, and it's always nice. It's something that people plan to bring their New Year's in on. It's always a nice celebration, a nice atmosphere. To make it a successful night, it's up to us to go out and start it off right.
