I think there was a sense of urgency out there for both teams. We were both looking for a spark.

They're playing better than their record has indicated.

Talk about a fortunate road win. To play them and beat them is big for us. We played well in the third period. It was our best.

The story of this game is we've got to put it in the net. We limited their scoring chances, but we've got to find a better way on the offensive end.

It's tough to win when you don't score. I don't think this was a lack of chances. According to our statistics, we had 18 scoring chances. That's a pretty decent amount. The guys we count on to score had chances. We just didn't finish.

It's a concern. I don't think it was a case of the power play losing the game for us, but it had the chance to win it for us and it didn't. We've got to do a better job of getting the puck to the net.

It's not my favorite rule.

I thought it was an important win for our team. It was a good team we were facing, one of the best in the conference. The fact we got the result helps the confidence of this team.

The fact that we got that power-play goal right after the one we gave up was big. We've been preaching to our players not to get discouraged and that was a real turning point.

The shots are an indicator, but they are not a complete indicator of play. I thought the scoring chances we generated were some high-quality ones and we were able to capitalize on them.

Ben has done a pretty good job for us. He's got great offensive instincts. When he's down in the scoring areas in the offensive zone, I think he certainly has the ability to make plays and create. And I think he's got good instincts on the power play as well. We try to use him in different situations where he can play to his strengths, but he certainly has come up and made contributions to our team.

He's status quo. He tried to skate but there was still too much discomfort. He's going to be day-to-day. It's obviously a tender spot. It's difficult because of the pressure the skate puts on the area. But I don't think it's something that will keep him out too much longer.

It really boils down to individual achievement. Some players have those skill sets suited for shootouts. I don't know what else we can do to simulate that situation during practice.

They outworked us in a lot of areas, ... We didn't deserve to win.
