We changed a little bit. When we go to our play-action (passes), Jay is rolling out and Drew is setting up. Drew is more of a straight drop back passer, which allows to run some flood routes.

Our coach has been here for several years (nine), but he's never won a game at the national championship, so we want to play as hard as we can to get him one.

Yes, we've had people join because of the music programming, but long term I don't know if a music program would keep people in a church if that's the only reason they were there.

That was a big one for us because it gave us momentum. When the score was tied at halftime, I felt and the team felt that the next goal was going to be big.

The kids needed something else to do. After going to the funerals and to the hospital all week, I think they were looking forward to football practice. It gave them a little relief.

Jay has done a really good job. Of course, we've whittled our playbook down. Anytime you make a change at quarterback, you have to change what your offense can do. Our main problem has been getting people to sub in and out. We're so thin that when anybody is injured we lose people on offense and defense.

I've had injuries but not the devastation we've had this year. You think about high school kids and they don't have all the stuff that adults have. All they really have is their cars and their friends. To lose a friend is a big part of their world. But kids are pretty resilient. We talked about how Blake worked hard to get where he was. His body won't be on the field but his spirit will be there with us.

We played a really good first half. But then we fumbled in the end zone and we had to play our starters a little longer than we wanted.

We have to get rid of mental mistakes. We've had four touchdowns called back by penalties and that can't happen. The biggest thing is we need to get into some kind of regular routine. The way things have been going has been anything but routine.
