It was a hard-fought battle because Jayne was at the McDonald's (All-American) Game, and I was worried that might sway them. I'm proud of Jacki and happy for her.

After the game, I was here at home kind of numb. I've never felt that way. I was almost in shock. I could hardly sleep and didn't go to work. It's been a pretty depressing day, and the last thing I wanted to hear was that it was an ACL. She worked so hard to get where she is, and it's just a tragedy.

The best thing about that is how much better she is this year than she was last year as a junior. She's always had a passion to be a great basketball player ever since I worked with her in fourth grade. Her best basketball is ahead of her.

It was a tight game for a while, and I thought she was relentless. She wasn't going to let us lose.

We had to win this game because the power ratings are really important to us. We're No. 1, and we want to make sure we stay there.

It's disappointing the way the whole thing happened. Obviously, Jacki getting hurt was a disaster, but I knew we're good enough to beat them without Jacki.

We've been fortunate through the years not to have major injuries. It's sad because (our team) deserves better. I just told them how proud I was of their effort. I still think we were the better team.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, and I'm not just going to sit back. I'm going after it. I love the university, and I think it would be a great opportunity for them to change what's going on there. I'm very confident that it would be a whole new era. I told them I think I could win with the players they have right now.
